If you're after a pudding that's ready in under a minute, this is it.
An Affogato is an Italian dessert made by pouring coffee over vanilla ice cream. We love the idea, but we've made one small change: we use Madame Jennifer Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur instead.
It adds a rich coffee flavour with notes of chocolate and vanilla, turning a simple scoop of ice cream into a proper grown-up dessert.
Perfect after a barbecue, for dinner with friends or for a sunny Wednesday afternoon.

What you'll need to make a Coffee Liqueur Affogato
One generous scoop of good-quality vanilla ice cream
Instructions:
Pop your ice cream into a bowl or glass.
Pour over the Coffee Liqueur.
Grab a spoon.
Enjoy before it all melts.
Want to dress it up?
It's delicious just as it is, but if you're feeling fancy, try adding:
Dark chocolate shavings
Crushed amaretti biscuits
Toasted hazelnuts
A pinch of cocoa powder
What is an Affogato?
Affogato al caffè translates to "drowned in coffee". Traditionally it's made with a shot of hot espresso poured over vanilla ice cream.
Our version swaps the espresso for Madame Jennifer Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur, giving you all that lovely coffee flavour with a little extra warmth and a very good excuse to have dessert.
Top tip from the distillery
Keep a bottle of Coffee Liqueur and a tub of good vanilla ice cream in the freezer over summer. Unexpected guests? Dessert sorted in less than a minute.
About Madame Jennifer Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur
Our Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur is rich, smooth and mellow, with just the right amount of sweetness.
We use coffee beans from the San Ernesto farm in El Salvador, expertly roasted by Craft House Coffee just outside Brighton. A slow 20-hour cold brew extraction brings out a smooth, less bitter coffee flavour, before it's blended with English wheat spirit and Demerara sugar syrup. Available in 200ml and 500ml bottles.
