Absinthe

Introducing Madame Jennifer Absinthe, the very first absinthe distilled in Sussex. This clear Absinthe is distilled with green anise, star anise and wormwood for a bold, aromatic anise flavour. Naturally sugar free, and free from artificial colours.
 
Traditionally served as a digestive with plenty of chilled water, it has a smooth, creamy and rich flavour.
 
Invented in Switzerland, Absinthe was banned in many countries in the early 20th century, and is shrouded with myths of hallucinogenic effects.
 
Botanicals:
Star anise, Green anise, Fennel seeds, Hyssop, Wormwood, Lemon balm, Sweet orange.
 
Perfect Serve:
Absinthe is a strong spirit, traditionally served diluted. Add 3 to 5 parts cold water to a small measure and watch as it turns cloudy, a transformation known as the louche. Sip slowly to enjoy its complex character.
