The Urban Small-Batch Distillery

Madame Jennifer Distillery is a small urban distillery located in Hove, East Sussex, immediately west of it’s larger neighbour Brighton. The distillery is located in Poets Corner, a quaint part of town where the streets are named after famous poets.

Hove, like gin has become more refined since the 18th century, when it was described by John Warburton as a “ruinous village”. Laurence Olivier is quoted as the origin of the phrase “Hove, actually”, a humorous reply by residents when asked if they live in Brighton.

Hidden between the rows of Victorian terrace houses ubiquitous with Poets Corner, our beautiful little distillery is built in a small Victorian commercial building. We have the pleasure of sharing the space with a range of exciting artistic and independent businesses.
